What do we need?

This position is responsible for managing the Operations team within Aspirion’s Aged AR business unit and leading transformation efforts to align people, processes, and technologies to achieve the business unit’s financial and operational goals.  Key responsibilities include leading aspects related to strategic planning for new client implementations, assigning and directing workflows, performance measurement and reporting; coaching employees and continuing education, addressing client issues; and problem solving.

What will you provide?

  • Oversees, mentors and assists team of directors
  • Manages performance of the Aged AR operations team using a data-driven, analytical approach to ensure that company and client financial and quality targets are achieved
  • Builds and refines an organization structure that ensures appropriate spans of control and quality outcomes
  • Embraces and drives change across the team using a spirit of continuous improvement and assessment of best practices.  Leads transformation efforts related to structuring the Operations team, implementing and refining corresponding workflows, and leveraging technology, data and analytics
  • Establish and deliver operational processes to provide effective client solutions based on proven best practices in receivables management and information technology.
  • Collaborates closely with peers in Product Management and Information Technology to ensure that IT requirements for operational success are understood and promulgated
  • Seeks out opportunities for process improvement leveraging Machine Learning technologies and serves as an operational and business subject matter expert to data scientist colleagues
  • Drives best practice implementation and quality and productivity standards, ensuring that they are understood and monitored across the operation.
  • Leads team through high levels of growth and change while maintaining positive culture, collaboration and sense of belonging to ensure teammates feel connected and non-siloed.
  • Proactively seeks out opportunities to improve workflows, efficiency and quality through systems and operational changes
  • Promotes Aspirion values and pillars for success and incorporates them into daily work
  • Ensures that all operational employees receive consistent feedback and performance reviews from their direct managers.
  • Continually assesses current headcount and assignment, along with future staffing needs to optimize headcount and allocation.  Works with Human Resources Recruiter to fulfill open positions.
  • Collaborates with corporate Learning & Development team to ensure new employee on-boarding curriculum is appropriate and that training classes are delivered as needed
  • Monthly review and analysis of key performance improvement indicator, performance, and payer scorecard reports
  • Assist with creation of monthly goal and incentive opportunities
  • Work closely with peers in the other Aspirion service lines, Sales and Client Success as a way to meet client expectations and share best practices
  • Conducts regular Manager Meetings with the team to discuss issues, concerns, and updates and facilitates occasional all Operations team meetings
  • Maintain operational expenses within the approved departmental budget
  • Adheres to HIPAA compliance rules and regulations.
  • Ensures that team members adhere to HIPAA compliance rules and regulations.
  • Assist in maintaining current information on the Intranet
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Healthcare Management related field required.  Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a leader in an operations role
  • Demonstrated experience in management, leadership, and coaching skill
  • Healthcare or revenue recovery management experience
  • Experience driving process improvement during periods of high growth and automation
  • Experience in common hospital EMR/Patient Accounting systems.
  • Experience in managing operational KPI’s and building where required

Individual pay/salary is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, education, training, licensure or certifications obtained. Market, location and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a bonus tied to achieved results.
